In Nova Scotia’s economy today, the trade skill industry is one of the fastest growing and in critical need of talents. AEA is reimagining the next decade by upskilling more people of African descent who have the technical and professional skills will meet employer needs.

Our Goal

The Africadian Empowerment Academy (AEA) is committed to expanding opportunity and transforming futures. Over the next five years, we aim to support at least 3,000 learners across our programs and communities, while steadily building the capacity to reach 6,000 individuals through training, mentorship, and career pathways.
Achieving this vision requires collaboration. We believe meaningful impact happens when mission-driven organizations, forward-thinking companies, partners, volunteers, funders, and public institutions work together.
