Between 2021 and 2023, The Africadian Empowerment Academy successfully created and sustained 38 full time employments, generated a labor income of $1.62M and contributed a whooping $3.11M in GDP to the economy of Halifax in addition to $489,000 in government revenue!
For us, every word of advise, connection to a network of human enablers, material donation and dollars invested (yes, it is an investment) results in life-changing outcome. And that is what counts because by supporting a worthy vision, individuals and organizations can contribute to a movement that has proven to create a lasting impact and positive change in the lives and communities of African Nova Scotians.
Since inception, we have been able to:
Lots but let's start with the most obvious one - financial resources. We need money to operate and execute our programs and services. This includes funds for staff salaries and consultants, overhead costs, program expenses and other operational expenses. There are multiple opportunities to provide financial partnership to us such as donations, grants, sponsorships etc.
What about Information and Technology resources? Yes! We need access to secure technology and information resources to manage data, communicate with stakeholders and deliver services through the use of hardware, software, databases, online platforms etc.
